Case Study 1A commercial project in Stevenage, HertsPhoto 1 shows the level of strip out required after an extensive fire in this retail outlet. Here the initial reinstatement of the ceilings and wall linings has already begun Photo 2 shows the finished project just before reopening. From acceptance of liability to reopening the shop was just three months despite a complete strip out and refit being required for the entire shop covering 300m2 on three floors. The project was also in a building of historic interest in a conservation area and so required close liasing with the historic buildings officer of the local authority.
